I really like this one, you've got a nice beat going.

Man, that sounds gross. I definitely hear the Silent Hill influence, you pulled it off rather nicely. Good work!

HeAvEn-SmiLE responds:

Thank you for the review!

Nice, I like it! The melody reminds me of Final Fantasy 10's battle theme.
Sounds good for only 8 tracks, it makes it sound like a song from the SNES. That and the bass reminds me of FF4.

Deemo-R responds:

Ah shoot, I forgot all about that theme. It's even in the same key with a trumpet melody. I probably should have transposed my song up a semitone or two just to separate it from that, but the opening melody is definitely similar. I must've pulled inklings from it in my subconscious. Hopefully the rest of the song diversifies it enough to be different overall. Having the bass be extremely obstinate with its presence in the song was crucial since there's so few tracks to provide a solid low-end to the whole piece.

Thanks for the review (and for reminding me of FF10)!

I can't offer any constructive criticism because I've got more questions than answers when it comes to music, but I'll submit a review anyway!

I like how your music sounds so clean, it's well written. Nice variety in melodies, an all around interesting composition.

Also, that's a neat challenge you set up for yourself, maybe I'll try it too

Deemo-R responds:

Believe me, the questions are still far more abundant in my head, too. You just start to get more comfortable without really noticing it at some point.

I'm glad the melodies seem strong in the pieces I put out, because I've always felt that one of my major flaws is how predictable my chord progressions are throughout all of what I write. Good melodies usually lay the groundwork for a progression, however, so I suppose that may be a side effect of the melodies that I choose. Since I don't really do a lot of detailed mixing, I make sure to take whatever steps necessary to balance out the sound and make the instruments clear. I also try to avoid vsti with built-in reverb or poor recording quality (coughSSOcough) so that every instrument is on the same page when I need to mesh them together :3

I love to challenge myself in various ways. I think being adaptable is a huge element of composing music for projects, so it's nice to get myself trying different things. You might be surprised what you can do with stuff you haven't tinkered with before! Certainly give it a try if you're interested ;)

Thank you for the kind words!

That was awesome! Really well made.
I like your style of music, consider me a fan

Deemo-R responds:

Glad you enjoyed it :). Thanks a bunch for the follow, as well!
